ABOUT YOGA STATION
Brett Ritchie established Yoga Station as a facility for people in the community to access and learn the theory and practice of yoga. Brett has a degree in Human Movement and has worked in tutoring Mindfulness at Monash University, physical education and exercise rehabilitation.
Being a practice, Hatha Yoga is the actions that you take to adjust the balance between opposites.
Doing dynamic movement that increases the breathing and need for more oxygen will always make you warmer, increase your energy level and wake you up.
Alternately, lying on the floor and using less muscular effort will always calm you down and help prepare for sleep.
Action – Being aware that your actions will always result in some changes both to your individual self and the broader community.
Surrender – Letting go is sometimes the only answer and yoga practice improves your awareness of what you’re holding onto.
